Looking for inspiration? Here are some website recommendations for you to feast your eyes on. This week’s selection includes an Oyster Restaurant and a Tasmanian Design Agency!
Poco People are a creative partnership based in Australia. I love the no-holds barred full screen photography here which shows off their portfolio section. Simple yet beautiful.
I find the layout of this restaurant’s website really refreshing. Instead of going for the standard navigation route it uses a tactile one page collage style interface with enticing graphical nuggets make you want to explore more.
The simple illustration and linear scrolling tell this enchanting story so beautifully. Regardless of age you cant help but be drawn in to its pure innocence.
I stumbled across this website and was instantly intrigued to find out exactly what a ‘Corkcicle’ was. This site is a great example of how to showcase an unknown product. By simply scrolling down the page you are taken through well explained sections whilst given a visual showcase of the product - very slick!
This is one of the most memorable websites i’ve seen in a while. Its so distinct and original that it’s already being aped by many other designer types out there. I love the big gratuitous space between the unconventional isometric sections.
I had to add this site as it highlights the relatively new format of digital wedding invitations. As a former husband-to-be / designer I myself was handed the huge weight of designing and printing my own invites and now wish Id done something just like this. It uses some great illustration which show the couples’ eccentric and quirky personalities.
